The designer (1910-2001) was born in Hungary and settled in Paris in 1931. As an autodidact, he submerged himself in two fields: designing furniture and tapestry. Initially designed as outdoor furniture, this bench is defined by its poetic aura and excellent ironwork. The designer used quadrifoil perforated sheet metal that allowed him to create various shapes. A material that played a major role in the development of his signature style during the postwar era. This technique had already frequently been implemented in the work by esteemed French artists, among others René Herbst, Pierre Legrain, Étienne Kohlmann and Jean Bossu.
