Description
Available today in NYC, including free domestic shipping, this Brazilian Modern Sofa in Hardwood & Fabric designed by Fatima is nothing less than a beauty!
Introducing this cozy sofa expertly crafted by Fatima during the 1960s, boasting a sturdy structure made from Brazilian Rosewood, commonly known as Jacaranda, and elegantly upholstered in a sophisticated off white boucle. The arms and legs of these armchairs are exquisitely sculpted, enhancing their overall aesthetic appeal. The deep color of the Rosewood further accentuates the shape of each armchair, while the wood itself has been skillfully refinished. Additionally, the upholstery has been recently replaced, ensuring a fresh and new look.
A beautiful sofa like this could fit into any environment, from mid-century modern, modern, contemporary, eclectic and even farmhouse.
Attached vintage press featuring the elegant set.
About the designer:
FAI, also known as Fatima Arquitetura Interiores, was founded in 1960 by architects Guilherme Nunes and Sávio Visconti in Rio de Janeiro. The company aimed to bring together architecture, decoration, and art, providing a gallery space for artistic expressions related to architecture.
Additionally, Sávio and Guilherme aimed to push the boundaries of the local scene by organizing furniture design contests.
FAI's furniture production included pieces with clean lines and meticulous craftsmanship, utilizing materials such as Rosewood, leather, cotton fabrics, and straw. -
