Description
Beautiful pair of original Biedermeier Bergere chairs in cherry wood from Austria around 1830.
Cherry veneer and solid, hand-polished with shellac (french polished). Solid cherry stollen feet. Square tapered conical legs at the back, curved outwards. "C" volutes on the front of the armrests. Curved, veneered backboard, fitted to the back when seated. Newly upholstered in black and white striped Boucle fabric reminiscent of a beach towel.
