Pair of Biedermeier Bergere Chairs, Walnut Veneer, Black Fabric, Vienna/Austria, 19th Century
Pair of beautiful Biedermeier Bergeres / Bergere chairs, mid 19th century from Vienna, Austria. Walnut veneered on the backs and armrests. Solid walnut legs, elegantly curved in the back and studded in the front. Restored and hand polished with shellac and partly ebonized. Newly upholstered with black chenille fabric and surrounding double keder.
