Description
Unique chair or sculpture in the shape of a hand, probably Mexico circa 1960.
Finely carved details, lifelines, nails and folds. The front of the base with vine carvings and the back with heavily scrubbed fluting.
Very heavy, made from one piece of carved hardwood.
High-gloss polished black lacquer finish.
In the style of Pedro Friedeberg. Likely carved in a studio in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, circa 1960.
