L06A Daybed by Pierre Chapo, France, 1960s
-
Description
This “L06A” daybed, designed by Pierre Chapo (1927–1987) in the 1960s, is crafted in solid elm and demonstrates the precise joinery techniques that define his work. Chapo was known for his architectural approach to furniture, using exposed joints such as dovetails and tenons not only for strength but also as integral design elements. We have two examples available, each fitted with cushions in textured bouclé fabric. They can be used individually as daybeds or joined together with a connecting element to form a bunk bed.
