Sergio Rodrigues Sheriff Chair
-
Description
Sergio Rodrigues set the standard for Modern furniture in Brazil during the 1950s. His works have become a reference for Brazilian design, which often use indigenous wood species such as jacaranda and imbuia. Probably his best known design is the “Mole”, or Soft Chair, also known as the Sheriff chair: Our version originates from the 1960s and was produced by ISA, Italy. Rodrigues developed a partnership with ISA Italy to produce his designs under license.
The Sheriff chair immediately catches your attention due to its loose structure of leather straps supporting several oversize cushions. It is incredibly comfortable, and invites for a long, casual seat. Elmwood. It was made in the 1960s. We have refinished the wood and upholstered with new soft leather.
We have another chair just like this in Rosewood with an ottoman and a 3-seater sofa in rosewood.
