Set of six English mahogany Victorian period dining chairs upholstered in woven straw seats for an organic yet sophisticated look. There is an Art Nouveau quality to the carved frames, balancing the rigidity of the wood with sensual carvings that form the balloon-back and swelled shoulders, finished in little scrolls down to the center rail. Removable chair seats remain firm and comfortable, wrapped in a tightly woven material of black horsehair and raised, geometric design in pale green straw. These chairs have ring-turned front legs tapering to a little stiletto foot and sabered back legs. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax–these gorgeous side chairs are ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images. Sold as a set only.
