Description
These lounge chairs and footstools embody the essence of mid-century modern design, seamlessly blending elegance with functional comfort.
The set is in perfect visual balance thanks to the carefully measured proportions of the plush seats and backrests. In the absence of arms, the chairs remain very open and light. Without any ornamentation, the focus remains on the curved, flowing lines of the cushioned bodies. Constructed from high-quality wood, ensuring durability and sturdiness, the exposed architectural bases complement the design of this model greatly, thanks in part to the colour contrast. The ergonomic design, together with the footstool, assure an exceptional lounging experience. These design elements have always been the specialty of European cabinetmakers. Crafted with precision and finished with attention to detail and care for the aesthetic dimension, this set stands the test of time thanks to its visual and material quality and is sure to enhance the charm of any space.
Though many mid-century European designers may not have the same recognition as some of their Scandinavian or Nordic counterparts, they were integral to developing a modern aesthetic post WWII. The appreciation for their contribution is still growing today, making outstanding pieces like this set highly sought after.
