Soriana lounge chair with ottoman by Afra & Tobia Scarpa, made in Italy by Cassina, circa 1970’s. The original rich chocolate brown leather and foam are in great condition and shows its trademark round and bulky shape. The concept behind the Soriana series was to express a comfortable design where a bundle of fabric or leather was held together by chrome-plated metal clamps. The chair has casters on the front side; the ottoman has casters on all 4 sides. The ‘Soriana’ series won the Compasso d’Oro price in 1970.
