Description
Pair of red lacquered chinoiserie open armchairs from the Waldorf Astoria. Each with an arched top rail, vase shaped back splat, outward facing scroll arms, seat frame with drop-in seat, cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Both chairs are decorated overall with figures, boats, pagodas, bridges and flowers on a dark red background with gilding. Both chairs have a Waldorf Astoria label on the bottom frame.
