18th. C. New England Apothecary Chest
-
Description
- A beautiful piece of Americana, we discovered this 18th century apothecary chest in New Hampshire and fell for its pared down form and beautiful finish.
- Throughout its many lives, this piece was painted several colors and then ultimately stripped down to its original wood surface, giving it a warm, gorgeous patina.
- The drawers of this piece feature dovetail construction and offer ample storage.
- Though a true antique, this chest feels decidedly modern and would be at home in a myriad of settings, from city loft to country cottage.
- This piece is in very good antique condition, showing signs of wear consistent with age and use. All of its drawers feature original knobs and open smoothly. There is variation to its finish throughout, please see our detailed photos. -
