Description
Remarkable 18th century Baroque chest of drawers out of Austria. Elaborately made in the period around 1760, this exceptional baroque commode impresses with outstanding veneered nutwood surfaces and amazing designed marquetry works. All three drawers show beautiful fields of walnut, highlighted by a fantastic looking so-called "cube marquetry". Those sections provide additional lovely curved nutwood frames with thin maple threads. Adorned by artfully crafted brass fittings, the cambered drawers offer much storage space and can also be locked with three old "renewed" locks. Another absolute highlight of this baroque commode is the dresser´s top plate ass well as the sides with its great looking inlayed grid patterns made of fine maple wood. A dreamlike masterpiece from the 18th century, which comes in absolute great restored condition. Ebonized edges finalize the incredible look. This unique piece of baroque furniture was part of the inventory of a beautiful private owned castle. Not only an amazing looking, eyecatching storage piece, much more, this 18th century baroque chest of drawers is a real smart investment for the future as well. This precious, antique baroque chest of drawers comes with an outstanding french polish, enforcing the gorgeous grain of the beautifully veneered surfaces.
