Description
Fantastic looking 19th century cherrywood chest of drawers from the early Biedermeier period around 1830 in Austria. This newly restored antique three drawer Biedermeier commode impresses with its straight shaped lines and a beautiful cherrywood veneered surface. The beveled pilasters in combination with the pointed feet confer this antique commode a very unique charme. Adorned by lovely brass applications, all drawers which are running super smoothly can be locked with the still original, fully functional locks. A highlight of this fine early 19th century commode are the solid cherrywood drawer fronts - see picture #10. A traditional hand-polished shellac finish finalizes the outstanding appearance of this perfectly sized early Biedermeier chest of drawers. A real great piece of Austrian Biedermeier furniture which can be combined with many different interior styles because of its clean, timeless design.
