Marvellous 19th century birdseye maple Biedermeier chest of drawers from the period around 1840 in Bavaria/ Germany. This exceptional antique Biedermeier commode shows a fantastic straight shape, veneered with fine mirror-matched birdseye maple. Providing four drawers, whereby the top drawer is a bit narrower, this exceptional german dresser impresses with an outstanding grain and beautifully carved cherrywood pilaster strips. Another highlight is the slightly forward setted upper drawer section. Inlayed ebonized key blades as well as ebonized feet finalize the incredible look of this valuable 19th century Biedermeier chest of drawers from South Germany. This chest of drawers still keeps the original, fully functional locks.
