Description
This exceptional, ebonized Biedermeier bureau-commode was made in Vienna circa 1820-25.
Ebonized Biedermeier pieces were mostly made in Vienna, Austria and account for only 1-2 % of all Biedermeier furniture made. Therefore, they are very rare.
The fitted interior with four drawers and one shelve is veneered mostly in maple with ebonized accents. The writing surface is also partially ebonized.
Top drawer pulls out easily.
Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
The piece is in very good condition.
The piece will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless.
We are providing a Certificate of Authenticity.
The lock and brass hardware are original.
We offer our clients to send this elegant Biedermeier piece by air for discounted price of $1500.
