Outstanding 19th century French marquetry chest of drawers from the period around 1870. Providing four lockable drawers, this absolute eye-catching dresser was made of fine cherrywood and impresses with its elaborately set marquetry work on the drawers fronts as well as on the sides. This incredible looking design - the so-called "cube" marquetry - conveys it a very special 3D appearance. On top you have the original marble plate additionally framed by a stylish brass bar. Beautiful shaped slender legs, noble brass applications and a traditional hand-polished shellac finish finalize the exceptional look of this elegant shaped transitional style commode from the late 19th century in France.
