Description
A wall-mounted Italian console from the 1950s, crafted from grissinato ash wood and green marble.
Defined by its sinuous, refined lines, this console features a centrally positioned drawer with a brass handle. A representative example of the sophisticated Italian aesthetic of the 1950s, it is distinguished by its compact proportions and precise craftsmanship. The grissinato pattern runs continuously along the entire front, interrupted only by the drawer, adding depth and texture. The green marble top provides a bold contrast to the warm ash wood tones, emphasizing the console’s material and formal balance.
In excellent overall condition, the piece has been professionally restored and refinished, preserving its original character while ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic refinement. The wood has been carefully cleaned and treated to enhance its natural grain, while the marble surface has been delicately polished to restore its depth of color and veining.
