Description
Beautiful, neoclassical Biedermeier Chest or Half-Cabinet in walnut from South Germany around 1825.
Walnut veneered on softwood. Thick, partly ebonized full columns. Ebonized diamonds as key escutcheons.
Below 2 doors counter-veneered in oak on the inside. One original inlet lock on the right and two hinges on the left.
Inside two old, adjustable shelves in softwood. One drawer at the top with original lock.
Restored condition, shellac hand polished. In each doors, one closed and restored crack in the middle.
