Description
This 19th-century Alpine storage chest is a striking example of vernacular craftsmanship. Hand-hewn from solid wood, its bold geometric structure is accentuated by oversized faceted knobs and deep linear carvings along the lid. The robust front legs extend above the surface to cradle the top - a signature detail often found in traditional mountain carpentry. With an impressive scale, it commands presence in any space. The chest bears the marks of age, with a weathered texture and minor irregularities that speak to generations of use. Ideal as a statement console, entryway anchor, or for storing your belongings.
