French 19th Century Walnut Confiturier Cabinet

This exceptional walnut confiturier comes from France, circa 1840, and displays a beautiful, rich patina over the case that exhibits striking color and grain. It features a single drawer in the frieze over a paneled, locking door enclosing the large cabinet. Inside is a single shelf, 11 ¾” deep leaving 9” above and 18 ⅞” below. Storage pieces such as this confiturier were originally used to stock jams and jellies, however, the handsome cabinet would be very useful as a small dry bar or buffet.
