Inlaid Rosewood Wall-Mount Sideboard, by David Wider Associates
-
Description
Elegant wall-mounted cabinet by influential but obscure New York furniture maker David Wider. With craftsmanship and design aesthetic aligned with contemporaries such as Tommi Parzinger, John Vesey and Billy Haines, Wider created a fanciful, tasteful, and conservative modernism that employed spare-no-expense cabinetmaking, often employing exotic veneers.
This two-door wall console, in deeply figured rosewood and thread inlay, opens to a silver drawer and shelving, The dramatic English style custom brass hardware and internally lit glass top fancily play off the modern and traditional motifs. The cabinet is easy to mount via a slide-in cleat. -
