Description
Rare Art Deco Black Lacquer & Frosted Relief Glass Cabinet Signed Pierre Gilles
$18,475.00
This Stunning Art Deco Cabinet in Black Lacquer and relief Frosted Glass is created by the esteemed designer and metalworker Pierre Gilles and originates from France, Circa 1935. Featuring a beautiful front panel in molded and frosted glass depicting an expansive ornamentation of intersecting arches and curvaceous swooping forms rising in a pyramidal fashion from a rounded motif near the bottom of the panel. Constructed of solid walnut with Chrome fittings and drawer pulls, the piece is beautifully restored and finished in black lacquer on an angular plinth form base. Streamlined, well proportioned, and with original hardware in tact, this piece is a highly rare example of the glasswork of Pierre Gilles used in a case piece, signed "Gilles" in the upper right hand corner of the glass panel. This bold yet delicately composed Cabinet will style brilliantly in a wide array of interiors and design movements, from Art Deco to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Mint Restored Condition.
