Description
A Swedish painted linen press or armoire from the Rococo period, made in two parts with original working locks and later hardware. Circa 1770. This cabinet is beautifully proportioned with a shaped pediment cornice, shaped apron concealing a hidden drawer (not shown open in the photos), and standing on cabriole legs. The interior upper section contains three fixed shelves, the top shelf shaped and slotted for spoons. There are three small drawers below the shelves. The bottom cabinet features four drawers.
