Description
An extraordinary 14 foot long English (Yorkshire) refectory table, of mid-17th century Charles II period, with a substantial two-board elm top above a frieze with carved decoration on one long side, supported by six baluster-turned legs joined by plain box-stretchers. In remarkable condition with a natural deep patina, the table can accommodate up to 18 people or, pushed against a wall, make a spectacular serving or console table.
