This elegant Biedermeier walnut table was made in Vienna circa 1830.

Viennese Biedermeier pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design, excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.

The table pedestal is held by three beautifully shaped legs that rest on a triangular base with ebonized feet. Such a table base is one of several most recognizable designs for early fine Viennese Biedermeier center tables.

The piece is beautifully veneered in walnut wood. The table is finished with a hand-applied french polish finish. It is the only appropriate finish for such a fine table which highlights the beauty of the veneer.

The table top has a lovely walnut book-matched veneer with star pattern
accentuated by a deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 years old patina.

The construction of the table is very solid and steady.
The piece is in very good condition.
