Mid-Century Modern Paul Evans Cityscape Floating Console and Mirror, Directional

Important 'Cityscape Series' chrome patchwork wall mounted floating console and mirror by Paul Evans for Directional Inc. Both the mirror and console are signed Paul Evans. The console portion of the piece can be mounted wherever you desire amongst the mirror - pictured here, we have placed it in the middle of the vertical wall mirror. The console portion contains one single drawer for storage. While designing for Directional Inc., Paul Evans insisted every piece was made by hand, finished by hand, and supervised at each step of production. The patchwork design of this piece was not pre-cut or predetermined, as each piece often had its own unique pattern. Paul Evans was a notable figure in the American Studio Craft Movement.
