This exceptional, large Biedermeier cherry table was made in Vienna circa 1825.

Viennese Biedermeier pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design, excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.

The piece is beautifully veneered in cherry wood and featuring fine inlays and maple banding.

The large table top rests firmly on a beautiful vase leg which is set on an elegant base with ebonized delicate feet.
The edge of the tabletop is precisely decorated with inlay of cherry and walnut veneer.
The table top has a lovely cheery book-matched veneer with star pattern
accentuated by a deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 years old patina.

The construction of the table is very solid and steady.
The piece is in very good condition.
