This exceptional Biedermeier single drawer table was made during the early Viennese Biedermeier period, circa 1825.

This substantial and rare table desk belongs to the tradition of the lyre-desks of the Empire or Biedermeier periods, which were known for this type of form. This kind of furniture originated in Vienna. The table besides its elegant proportions has a gorgeous highly figured walnut veneer with beautiful light deep amber color.

This fine piece has a lovely walnut book-matched veneer with
accentuated by a deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 years old patina.

The construction of the table is very solid and steady.
