Iconic table designed by the great Italian maestro Franco Albini in the 50s. The model is TL2 better known as "Cavalletto" (in english "Trestle") since it reminds of lightness and wisdom of construction. The structure is founded on opposing tensions, characterized by apparent temporariness, for a result of great refinement, thanks to the elegance of the details of the metal minutiae and the perimeter edging.
Franco Albini designed this wooden table visualizing a minimal structure where tension and compression become primary codes of a harmonious aesthetic that combines method and research, form and function, balance and stability.
The creation of this iconic table requires a delicate assembly process, reflecting the class and formal elegance of the design extrinsic in the detail of the two burnished brass rods that also serve as bracing.
