This set is spectacular. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the early 1950's for Heritage Henredon, this mahogany low dining set, or game table and chairs had sat for years in its permanent residence in Chicago, before being inherited and acquired by our gallery, which has since fully restored this set to showroom condition, leaving the ever-rich green patina on the copper band with the Mayan style Greek Key design that stretched the entire circumference of the table.

We thoughtfully matched the upholstery on the solid mahogany carved chairs to match the patinated copper-- upholstering them in a rich, luxurious emerald green cotton velvet.

This set also features the original leaf to the dining set, which expands the table from 54" to 66".

Frank Lloyd Wright's importance in American architecture and design is unparalleled. An architect, designer, educator and writer, this architecture and design magnate had already cemented his legacy in design when he created this line for Heritage Henredon, thus making the set collectable at the time. Nowadays, fining a complete set like this is increasingly rare and incredibly collectable.

We currently have this set in our gallery alongside a George Nakashima for Widdicomb desk, a Paul Evans for Directional credenza, and a Paul McCobb sofa, and not only do all these pieces make a bold statement, they all effortlessly go together. Danish design, Italian design, and Brazilian design all have their notable characteristics, but when it comes to great American trailblazing design, the forms, textures and shapes are truly incomparable to anything else in the world of design.

This set would look incredible in an arts and crafts, missionary or contemporary home; but not limited to that. This set would also effortlessly flex into a mid century modern, modern, or even art deco environment. A must-have for any Frank Lloyd Wright collector or enthusiast.
