Taliesin Dining Table & Eight Chairs by Frank Lloyd Wright for Heritage-Henredon
-
Description
This rare solid mahogany dining set is part of the Taliesin collection that Frank Lloyd Wright designed for Heritage-Henredon in 1955, which was produced for only two years. The round tabletop, edged with a copper reverse dentil design, sits on an X base the legs of which repeat the dentil motif. Three 16-inch copper-edged leaves extend the table up to a 96-inch oval. The designer's signature stamp appears on the underside of each leaf.
Complementing the table are eight angular Taliesin chairs in mahogany, whose seat backs feature the same dentil trim. The two armchairs measure 23" wide by 22" deep; the six side chairs measure 19.5" wide by 22" deep. All are 31.5" high with a seat height of 18.5". -
