Iconic Italian writing desk designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Bernini, Italy 1957. This symmetric sleek proportioned desk is made of beautifully grained rosewood. It has a work surface with two practical side drawers, two central document compartment and four at the back. The hourglass-shaped legs are typical of Frattini's products from that era, details that have become identifiable elements of the designer's style. An object that combines design, craftsmanship, and functionality, the result of Gianfranco Frattini's research.
This stunning desk is finished all around that makes it interesting to look at from every angle. It is in very good original condition with minor wear due age and usage. Marked with a Bernini sticker inside of a drawer. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
Frattini was one of the most significant designers of the 20th century and with the support of Bernini, he created products that left a mark on the history of Italian design.
