Gio Ponti (1891-1979) and Pietro Chiesa (1892 -1948)
A handsome pair of asymmetrical side or nesting tables by Gio Ponti and Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte. A geometric frame in ebonized walnut cradles an irregular hexagonal mirrored top, raised on a pair of slender compass legs. The tables can be displayed separately as side tables or united to form a variety of larger interlocking combinations as a center table. Priced and sold as a pair.
