this vanity is comes from a private furniture (1950-1950) of whose furnishings we know 2 other vanities and a pair of consoles sold in different Auction house in the past; this model was a prototype for a famous and very well known toilette used by Gio Ponti for the private furniture of the Hotel Royal in Naples in 1955 and then in 1964 for the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Rome and in Sorrento.
the refined details of the fake drawers on the sides of the desk and the adjustable and removable mirror make this prototype a very valuable piece
