Description
Coffee Table with Flower Vase in Two Woods, Giuseppe Scapinelli, 1950s - Lot 729A
The coffee table is made in Pau Marfim & Imbuia woods, and features four delicate legs and a top made in wood and glass. The top and the legs are Imbuia (dark wood) while the connecting arms between the top and the legs are made in Ivory wood. These connecting arms give the piece the very distinctive Scapinelli look. Another aspect that makes this piece so special is that it has an embedded flower vase right in the center. This type of “organic” furniture was in fashion in Latin America during the fifties so if you want to have a piece of history in your living room look no further. This is your piece. -
