Gordon & Jane Martz Side Table or Occasional Table Figured Walnut & Ceramic Tile
-
Description
Designed by wife & husband duo Gordon & Jane Martz, this table was produced by Marshall Studios in the 1950s. A shining example of Mid-Century as a whole, this piece features everything you could want out of a side table. Extraordinary craftsmanship, made of solid turned walnut, topped with a solid wood platform adorned with many ceramic tiles and rimmed with solid walnut. This would be enough for any normal manufacturer, but Marshall decided to make the table even better by putting an iron disk beneath the base to make it more stable, and another iron disk between the post and the top. An extremely well-made table with an gorgeous design will make for a forever piece in your home.
In very good vintage and original condition. Has been in my personal collection for many years, and I never used it. I'm very pleased to be offering it now. -
