Description
I picked up this particularly elegant 19th-century French pedestal table, I just couldn't resist its charm! Topped with a richly veined green marble slab with chamfered corners, the base is finely cast in gilt bronze, with fluted legs, pierced galleries, and a delicate stretcher centered by an oval medallion. The casting is crisp and architectural, with just the right amount of ornament.
Tables like this are like a secret weapon - they give height, presence, and a moment of polish to a room without taking up much visual space. This one is especially good as the proportions are tall and slender, and the combination of green marble and warm gilt bronze has that effortless French elegance. And, I personally love anything green, the top is a beautiful cool color.
Perfect for a sculpture, a plant, or simply as an object in its own right - this piece quietly makes a room look more interesting. Love. -
