Late George III Mahogany Breakfast Table
-
Description
This is a very good example of a large late George III tilt-top breakfast table. The top is is banded in kingwood and satin wood, with an additional 7 individual lines of inlay. The pedestal features 4 line-inlaid out-splayed legs terminating in traditional brass caps and casters. The table has an old, not original surface, with just the right amount of patina. This a super example of this type of table and it is ready for another 200 years of use. We have listed separately a set of 6 Regency brass inlaid chairs that would coordinate well with this table. A shrinkage crack has been professionally repaired with a "butterfly" brace to the back.
