A rare and original Louis XVI style coffee table by the prestigious French design house Baguès, dating to circa 1940. This elegant piece features a finely cast and gilded bronze frame with an intricate lattice crosspiece motif running along the apron, a decorative hallmark of the Baguès aesthetic that blends classical geometry with refined craftsmanship.

The rectangular top is made of richly veined marble in warm earth tones, polished to a soft luster and edged with a subtly molded rim. The contrast between the warm marble and the gilded bronze creates a striking visual balance, both opulent and understated.

The tapering legs are fluted and adorned with classical detailing, terminating in turned feet that offer both grace and stability. The table remains in excellent vintage condition, with its original patina intact, showcasing the timeless elegance and quality associated with Baguès.
