Mid-Century Teak Flip-Top Desk by Peter Løvig Nielsen
-
Description
This flip-top desk, designed in the late 1960s by Peter Løvig Nielsen, offers true versatility. Used alone, the freestanding teak desk provides a 28.75-inch-deep and 28.75-inch-high worktop below which are four drawers with carved circular pulls, one of which has a key. Above is a shelf with two removable tray drawers and a series of cubbyholes. Below the shelf at the back are additional storage spaces. When this shelf is flipped down on brass hinges, however, the desktop expands to a spacious 37.75 inches deep, allowing the desk to be shared. The cubbies and tray drawers are then available to the second user. The entire case sits on round legs with stretchers for greater stability.
Dimensions below are with the shelf left upright. -
