    Unique 2-part "Etruscan Spiral Dining Table” in patinated bronze and pewter with etched abstract design by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, 1960's (signed on both bases “Philip Kelvin LaVerne”). This dining table is composed of 2 square tables on bronze castors with original hardware on the undersides which latches them together to form a seamless single dining table. If you unlatch them you have 2 square dining/game tables. An ingenious design by two of the most inventive artists of the 20th century. These tables are magnificent.

    Sculpture II The Art of Philip LaVerne catalog published in the 1970’s, there is a photo on page 15 which shows this model with a single pedestal base with the title “Page 15 - Etruscan Dining Table…”. In the back of the catalog is the description, “Intricacy of interwoven bronze and pewter, hand sculptured to form the arabesques of this subject, combine in a supremely elegant motif. The feeling of an ancient Etruscan coin creates the unique adaptability of this design, magnificently highlighted by two golden bronze fluted pedestals, the perfect compliment…”.

    Tables measure 38.5 x 38.5 inches when separated.
