This gold, enamel, and seed pearl snake bracelet dates from the late Victorian era, circa 1880s. Designed as a snake curling around itself, the blue enamel head with ruby eyes is set with 13 split pearls in subtly varying off-white hues with pastel tones, while its curving neck with foliate engraving joins the smooth polished body and tapering tail. This colorful period bracelet with its unusual whiplash curves belongs in the collection of every every serpent jewel aficionado.
