This "Gemme Nummarie" necklace, made by Bulgari Rome in the 1970s, is composed of an ancient coin, 18K gold, ruby and diamond. The substantial slightly graduating curb link 18K gold chain centers a bezel-set ancient brass coin dated 27 B.C. depicting Augustus wearing a radiate crown, flanked by stylized buckle devies set with oval cabochon rubies, clasp with diamond highlight. Substantial and modeled to drape the neck with maximum softness and comfort, this Bulgari classic represents the unmistakable streamlined aesthetic and deft workmanship of italy's premier jeweler.
