I strive to give the viewer a sense of experiencing the place and the moment depicted in the scene I painted as thought they were there. When painting portraits my goals is to create a good likeness and a painting that is pleasing on its own merit. However, I believe that a successful portrait painting is one that captures a bit of the subjects's character... the essence of the person"
Jeff Morrow was commercial photograoher and video producer for 28 years as well as a professional portrait and landscape artist. he has been influenced by some of the great 19th century artist, and the best of today's portratit artists.
Morrow is a member of the Cincinnati Art Club, Oil Painters of America and a member of the Portrait Society of America.
