1999 Italian Sculpture, Pop Art Work in ceramic, named "L'Ansia II" (Anxiety II) in the shape of an ashtray by the Italian artist Stefano Della Porta, filled with pills and cigarettes so perfectly enameled they look real... a statement blown up to giant proportions. Only 2 of these sculptures have been produced.
Stefano Della Porta has won several awards and realized various exhibitions, some of his works has been shown in Museums. His work is considered so innovative and expressive as imagery and medium, that the expert Mark Del Vecchio of the New York Garth Clark Gallery wrote about the artist's work in his book "Postmodern Ceramics" that reunites 130 praiseworthy masters of contemporary ceramics.
The sculpture "L'Ansia II" was realized by the artist at Bottega Gatti, one of the most famous Italian ceramic factories and the most important in Faenza today, Ettore Sottsass's favorite.
