Fine and rare "Tao Cabinet" in etched bronze and pewter with hand painted enamels by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's. Signed on the bottom right door front “Philip & Kelvin LaVerne”.
It states in the original catalog: "Delicately hand sculpted in bronze and pewter, a highly functional cabinet depicting a poetic theme of the Tao dynasty. Adequate storage space is provided through the use of beautifully finished shelves and felt lined compartments. The cabinet rests on a hand chased bronze plinth."
This is an artistic masterpiece. -
