-
Description
A unique Italian modern geometric design for this sideboard / cabinet, with the great advantage of a shallow body, by the Architect Sandro Petti for L' Angolo Metallarte, 1970s, Rome. Characteristic of the work of Sandro Petti is his Haute Couture approach with his pieces always individually constructed by hand with high quality finish, often with unusual combination of wood and metal with extreme attention to detail and the linear use of hand folded metal sheets. This credenza is a sculptural work with top and sides handcrafted in brass, the four front doors with soft closure are lacquered in white and decorated with a couture V motif in mirror, raised on a brass covered plinth. The interior also is lacquered in a sophisticated in a beige color.
L'Angolo Metallarte with Studio A were in Rome, at that time, the official temples of Avant Garde architecture with exclusive artists and designers like Romeo Rega, Enrico Manera and Sandro Petti. His work was recognized in 1977 al Salone del Mobile with images on Casa Vogue. -
