-
Description
Uncommon table lamp design, with striking shallow low-slung form with an attenuated neck, a wonderfully evocative but abstract form that may bring to mind a lithe human's upper torso, a medieval pilgrim flask, or myriad other things, the model is one of Svend Hammershøi's most abstract designs for Kahler, artisanally crafted in earthenware with a muted turquoise eggshell finish glaze, Denmark 1930s-40s; incised "HAK" mark underside / #SHA121
