A pair of early 19th Century carved rosewood chairs with curved backs and front legs with decorative scrolls.
Upholstered in linen. Stamped 'Jeanselme' underneath.

The Jeanselme family were furniture makers in Paris from 1824 till the end of the 19th century. They succeeded the more famous Jacob family in approximately 1847. They are particularly known for good quality seat furniture.
